Keeping you safe this winter at the Palace Theatre Newark

Posted on: Thursday, November 9, 2023

Autumn is officially here, and winter is just around the corner, which calls for one thing…a trip to the Palace Theatre Newark!

While the days might be getting less sunny, a Palace show is sure to brighten up an evening. There are a variety of famous names just waiting to put a smile on your face, from Strictly star and much-loved entertainer Anton du Beke to critically acclaimed comedian Rich Hall. Or join in the festive fun at The Nutcracker and, of course, the fairest of them all, this year’s pantomime Snow White.

Aiming to put visitors’ minds at ease about booking this winter, the Palace Theatre will be putting in extra measures to ensure your trip is as safe, stress-free, and enjoyable as possible.

Cleaning procedures have been enhanced, spaces will be well ventilated, and the auditorium and front of house areas will be disinfected regularly with UV sanitisers. Guests will also be provided with a free face mask to wear if they wish. It is asked that all audience members are respectful of each other’s decisions.

If any members of a party are unable to attend a performance of Snow White due to illness, their tickets can easily be exchanged for an alternative date by contacting the Palace Theatre Box Office, 01636 655755.

Councillor Rowan Cozens, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and the Arts at Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: “We want to assure you that your safety, and that of our teams, is still our priority, and we hope these changes will help everyone to feel secure as they enjoy an unforgettable theatre experience at one of the Palace’s excellent shows this season.”
