Meet Councillor Ross, Armed Forces Champion, Newark and Sherwood District Council

I am Dr Neil Ross. I became a first time District Councillor in 2023.

I joined the RAF as a Medical Cadet in 1980, whilst at University. The RAF trained me as a GP and Aviation Medicine specialist. I served in the RAF for 20 years to the rank of Wing Commander.

I left the RAF in 2001 to work for the British Army in Germany and Belgium as a civilian GP. In 2013 I joined SSAFA as a Clinical Director providing medical services in Europe, Canada and Brunei.

In 2018 I moved to the UK to work for RAF and Royal Navy Recruitment until late 2021.
