Newark and Sherwood District Council is holding its very first meeting to celebrate our district’s passion for music, while looking to what the future could hold for music enthusiasts.

On Monday 13 May, Councillor Rowan Cozens, Deputy Leader of Newark and Sherwood District Council and Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and the Arts is chairing this important inaugural meeting.

Statement from Newark and Sherwood District Council regarding Southwell Leisure Centre

On 29 October 2023, the main pool at Southwell Leisure Centre was closed. The pool was leaking 9,000 litres of water a day and the safety of users of the pool could not be guaranteed. Southwell Leisure Centre Trust, the owners of the leisure centre, supported the closure of the pool.
