TENANCY AND ESTATES TEAM
Our aim is to ensure that residents are able to benefit from the quiet enjoyment of their home and to ensure a courteous and efficient housing service. The Team also provide development services for tenant participation and involvement. This recognises the valuable contribution made by our tenants in delivering the service.
There are seven dedicated Housing Officers who cover a 250sq mile area of the district. This includes Newark in the east, to Blidworth in the west.
The role of the team is to visit new tenants after they move in to their home and explain to them the conditions of their tenancy, what services we provide and what is expected of them.
The team strives to ensure that tenants are able to live in their home without fear of anti social behaviour from neighbours. We appreciate that problems can and do occur and need to be dealt with quickly and decisively.
If necessary enforcement action is taken against those who break their tenancy agreement. There are a series of written warnings and notices issued to explain the problem and the actions required to resolve the problem. If these requests are not complied with, court action may be taken which could result in a tenant losing the right to occupy their home. If you need to report Anti Social Behaviour, you can do so in a variety of ways.
