Tenants from Newark and Sherwood Homes were among those that attended an event in Lincoln to discuss the new ‘National Tenants Voice’.
The event, which was organised by the Tenant Participation Advisory Service, was set up to gauge views of tenants regarding the new Tenant Voice which is being established by national tenant groups working with government departments. Maureen Tinsley, from Coddington stated ‘It was a very interesting event and one which we are now able to promote with tenants in our area’. She added ‘This is one opportunity for tenants to have a voice nationally and some of our group put their names forward as a candidate for selection’. It is hoped that The National Tenants Voice will be a sounding board for new policies and will help to ensure that tenant’s views are heard at the very highest level. Newark and Sherwood Homes is keen to ensure that tenant’s views are heard and acted upon. Julie Davidson, Estates Manager said “We are very happy to be able to facilitate this trip so that tenants are given an opportunity to become involved at the very start of this project’.
The National Tenants Voice is still looking for tenants views.
