Since the Summer issue of Home from Homes we’ve been busy making lots of progress improving the Adaptations Service.
Here’s just a few of our achievements:-

97.87% overall customer satisfaction in the year 2009 - 2010, this current year the customer satisfaction rate is running at 97.02%

Total of 360 minor adaptations completed since 1st April 2009 - 31 April 2010. Taking an average of 13 days from receipt from Occupational Therapist to completion.

From the 1st April 2010 to date this year we have completed 160 minor adaptations. Taking an average of 14 days from receipt from Occupational Therapist to completion

Total of 204 major care plan adaptations completed since 1st April 2009 - 31 April 2010. Taking an average of 91 days from receipt until completion. A further 2 jobs were either on site or being designed and 3 jobs are to be started.

From the 1st April 2010 to date this year we have completed 58 careplans Taking an average of 72 days from receipt until completion

The service has been publicised in new posters and leaflets.

Monthly meetings now take place with the Occupational Therapists and Newark and Sherwood Homes Technical Staff.

Service Standard has been developed.

Two contractors (Carmalor Construction and PJ Lilley Ltd) appointed to carry out the level access shower adaptations ( soon to be retendered ).

Priority system introduced with ramps and access related adaptations being given main priority.

Closer co-ordination of works with decent homes.

Benchmarking questionnaire sent out to other local authorities.
